As the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy engages in conversations over the Internet, it has developed a code of ethics, which applies to Internet conversations/postings on the School of Pharmacy website and on its pages on social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
The code of ethics is as follows:
- Postings and comments on University of Maryland School of Pharmacy sites, blogs, and/or pages shall be ethical, honest and accurate.
- The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy reserves the right to correct grammatical or spelling errors in comments or posts.
- The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy reserves the right to delete comments that are profane or inappropriate.
- The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy will remove/delete spam and other inappropriate content.
- The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy reserves the right to reuse comments in other School publications, web sites, etc.
- The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy will adhere to HIPAA guidelines for all material posted on its website and social media sites and expects its contributors to follow these guidelines.
- All uses of the School of Pharmacy’s logo must be reviewed and approved by the Office of Communications and Marketing prior to use on any school organization’s blogs, social media sites, or personal websites.
