	Pinco is Special Supporter of Specialization Originally Published in Capsule (Summer 2013) Research into excipients – the binders, fillers, and other inactive ingredients in pharmaceuticals – is an area that has not always been a popular field of specialization for pharmacy students, but Robert Pinco, BSP, JD, is trying to change that. In 2012, Pinco, a member of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy’s Board of Visitors, endowed a scholarship in industrial pharmaceutics for graduate and post-doctoral students working in pharmaceutics and excipient research.
	Setting An Innovative Example Originally Published in Capsule (Fall 2012) As a pioneer and leader in the field of institutional pharmacy services, Ellen Yankellow, PharmD, feels a great responsibility to support the industry. One of the ways she demonstrates this strong commitment has been her ongoing support of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, from which she earned a BS in 1973 and a doctoral degree in 1996.

And while it can be a worthwhile undertaking, it is also arduous to obtain.

"I believe in creating my own destiny," says Levi, an enthusiastic advocate for community Pharmacy, a profession he has practice for the last 40 years.
	Remembering Crovo's Compassion Originally Published in Capsule (Winter 2010) Terry Crovo, BSP '80, was an excellent pharmacist who specialized in the practice of oncology pharmacy. With the help of a student award recently endowed by his widow, Patricia Barditch-Crovo, MD, BSP '78, he will be remembered not just for his knowledge and skills, but also for the passion and humanity he brought to his work.
