The NMR Facility at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy features two state-of-the-art spectrometers.
500 MHz NMR Spectrometer:
This spectrometer is located in the basement of Health Sciences Facility II (HSF II), and is equipped with:
Hardware:
- Agilent DD2
- 4-channels
- 5mm pentaprobe/Z pulsed field gradient
- 5mm HFCN probe/Z pulsed field gradient
- Variable temperature (-20 to 80 degrees Celsius)
Software:
- Linux-based operating system Red Hat 5.3
- VNMRJ 4.2
Primary uses for this instrument include:
- 1D: H1; C13; N15; F19; P31
- 2D: COSY; TOCSY; HSQC; HMBC; ROESY; NOESY
- 3D: Standard proton detect experiments for labeled protein, including HNCA, HNCO, HNCACB
- Diffusion spectroscopy
400 MHz NMR Spectrometer:
This spectrometer is located in the basement of Health Sciences Facility II (HSF II), and is equipped with:
Hardware:
- Varian 400 MR Direct Drive console
- 2-channels
- 5mm broad band probe/Z pulsed field gradient
Software:
- Dell host computer Red Hat 5.3
- VNMRJ 3.0
Primary uses for this instrument include:
- 1D: H1; C13; N15; F19; P31; tunable to other nuclei
- 2D: Basic experiments, including COSY; TOCSY; HSQC; HMBC; ROESY; NOESY
