The Waters SYNAPT G2Si system is utilized for protein applications such as protein-protein interaction experiments.
This instrument is equipped with:
- High definition hybrid quadrupole/time-of-flight mass spectrometer
- Ion mobility for gas-phase separation
- Nano ESI and ESI probes
- Waters hydrogen/deuterium exchange (HDX) UPLC module
This instrument is used to identify components of protein complexes and determine stoichiometry of protein complexes. The ion mobility separation capability is used to separate different protein conformations and isomeric species. Additionally, this instrument is coupled to a Waters HDX UPLC module to probe protein dynamics and conformational changes. Unique and challenging proteomics studies, including post-translational modifications, are ideal for this particular platform.
