Jackoline Costantino, PharmD
Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Costantino was born and raised in the Twin Falls, Idaho region. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Microbiology from The University of Idaho before pursuing her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Idaho State University. Her professional interests include Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease and Cardiology. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys the great outdoors, kayaking, playing and watching sports, cooking and horseback riding. Dr. Costantino truly grateful for the continued support and guidance from her family, friends and mentors throughout her journey and looks forward to another incredible adventure ahead.

Miguel Franquiz, PharmD

Miguel Franquiz was born in Churchville, Maryland. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree from Loyola College. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Miguel's professional interests include the emergency medicine/critical care interface and internal medicine and. He would like to thank his family and mentors for their support of his professional aspirations.

Ciera Patzke, PharmD

Dr. Patzke was born and raised in Phoenix, NY and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Le Moyne College nearby in Syracuse. She then attended the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences where she received her Doctorate of Pharmacy. Her professional interests include hematology/oncology, infectious disease, and academia. Outside of pharmacy she enjoys yoga, exploring new restaurants and trying new food, and being involved with the dance studio she grew up at back home. Dr. Patzke is so grateful for all the continued love, support, and encouragement from her family, friends, and mentors.

Paul Solinsky, PharmD

Paul Solinsky is originally from Towson, Maryland. He completed his Doctor of Pharmacy at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh PA with a concentration in geriatric pharmacotherapy. His professional interests include bringing innovative clinical and ambulatory services to a community pharmacy setting. Besides pharmacy, he enjoys playing the piano, exploring the outdoors, going to record stores, and trying new restaurants. He would like to thank his family, friends, and faculty mentors that have given their support over the years.

Ana Vega, PharmD

Dr. Vega was born in Havana, Cuba and raised in Miami, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Miami and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL. Her professional interests include infectious diseases, solid organ transplant, and critical care. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys baking, watching movies, exploring new places, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Vega is excited to start a new journey in her career as a pharmacy resident at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She would like to thank her family and loved ones for their never-ending support and devotion to her personal growth.

Dr. Masich is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Washington and Lee University and her Doctor of Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. Her professional interests include internal medicine, infectious diseases, academia and clinical research. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys playing soccer, running, and traveling. Dr. Masich would like to thank her family, friends and mentors for their endless support and guidance.

Linda Barstow, PharmD
Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Barstow is originally from Norfolk, VA. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biology from The University of Virginia and her Doctor of Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Her professional interests include emergency medicine, critical care, and research. Outside of pharmacy Dr. Barstow enjoys attending outdoor concerts, hiking, camping, and checking out local coffee shops. Dr. Barstow would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their unwavering love and support over the years.

Dr. Clark was born and raised in Taunton, Massachusetts. She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Northeastern University in Boston. Her professional interests include solid organ transplant, anticoagulation, and critical care. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys going on harborside runs, circuit training, and exploring new places. Stormi Gale, PharmD
Cardiology Resident

Dr. Gale was born and raised in Richmond, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina.  She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina and is excited for the opportunity to complete a PGY2 in cardiology at the University of Maryland.  Dr. Gale’s other professional interests include critical care and infectious disease. She played collegiate volleyball which continues to be one of her greatest hobbies outside of pharmacy, and she has a passion for animals, especially very large dogs.  Dr. Gale would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their continued support and encouragement of her professional aspirations.

Lauren Grecheck, PharmD
Ambulatory Care Resident

Dr. Grecheck was born and raised in Midlothian, VA. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA, before moving to Richmond, Virginia to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. Lauren completed her PGY1 training at the University of Colorado in Denver, CO, and she is excited to be back on the East Coast to complete her PGY2 in Ambulatory Care at the University of Maryland. Her professional interests include chronic disease management, transitions of care, mental health, and academia. In her spare time, Dr. Grecheck enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, exploring new restaurants, and attempting to cook with her fiancé. Dr. Grecheck would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their continued guidance and support throughout her pharmacy career thus far and for the many years to come!

Nicole Hollinger, PharmD

Dr. Hollinger was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and her Doctor of Pharmacy from Temple University School of Pharmacy. Her professional interests include pediatric critical care and academia. In her spare time she enjoys running, cooking, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Hollinger is excited to continue her career at the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital and the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Jueli Li, PharmD
Oncology Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Li is originally from Rockville, Maryland. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before attending the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Li’s professional interests include solid and hematologic malignancies, management of infectious diseases in patients with malignancies, and regulatory affairs. As a “foodie”, she enjoys exploring nearby cafes and restaurants, playing board games, and globe-trotting. Dr. Li is extremely thankful for the endless support and encouragement from her family, friends, and mentors over the years.

Sarah Luttrell, PharmD
Psychiatric Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Luttrell was born and raised in Blacksburg, Virginia. Before earning her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, she earned a Bachelors in Biology at the University of Virginia. After pharmacy school, she completed her PGY1 at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Professionally, her interests are substance abuse, neurology and academia. In her spare time, Dr. Luttrell enjoys reading, baking and watching Virginia Tech football. She would like to thank all of her family, friends and mentors for their endless support and encouraging words.

Kelly Mendoza, MS, PharmD
Pain and Palliative Care Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Mendoza was born in California but has called Arizona her home for the past 24 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona and her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated in 2015­­ from Midwestern University, College of Pharmacy-Glendale in Glendale, AZ having received her Doctor of Pharmacy. Dr. Mendoza recently completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Her professional interests include palliative care, hospice, and oncology. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Mendoza would like to thank her family, especially her husband, for their unconditional love and continued support and encouragement.

Sheryl Payne, PharmD

Dr. Payne is originally from Clemmons, North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She stayed in Chapel Hill and completed her Doctorate of Pharmacy at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina and is very excited for the opportunity to complete her PGY-2 in Critical Care at the University of Maryland. Dr. Payne’s other professional interests include cardiology and antimicrobial stewardship. She was a varsity cheerleader at UNC and in her spare time she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Carolina Tar Heels! Dr. Payne would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their continued support and encouragement of her professional aspirations.

Dr. Turner is from Clarksboro, New Jersey. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Rutgers University before going on to complete her PGY-1 with Northeastern University and Harbor Health Services, Inc in Boston, Massachusetts. Her professional interests include diabetes, academia, underserved populations, and health literacy. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, and exploring cafes and museums. Timothy Wu, PharmD
Health System and Practice Administration Resident

Dr. Wu is from Newark, Delaware. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Studies and Doctor of Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences. His professional interests include operations work flow efficiency, implementation of new technology into pharmacy workflow, transitions of care out of the hospital, specialty pharmacy, human resource management, medication safety, and health system pharmacy financial management. Outside of pharmacy, Dr. Wu enjoys fishing, sporting clays, and enjoying good food with friends and family. Dr. Wu would like to thank his family and mentors for their continued support and encouragement.

Martin Calabrese, PharmD
Ellen H. Yankellow Fellow in Health Outcomes

Dr. Calabrese is originally from Arlington Heights, Illinois. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His professional interests include health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) particularly involving chronic infections such as HIV and Hepatitis C. Outside of pharmacy, he is pursuing golf lessons and enjoys taking his dog to the local Baltimore city dog parks. Dr. Calabrese would like to thank his wife and family for their unconditional love and support in his continued professional development.

 

Huyen Vu, PharmD
Ellen H. Yankellow Fellow in Health Outcomes

Dr. Vu grew up in Vietnam and came to the U.S. to receive her education at the age of 15. She went to Randolph College (formerly known as Randolph-Macon Woman’s College) in Virginia to pursue a double major in Biology and Chemistry before moving to Boston, Massachusetts for her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at MCPHS University-Boston. She completed her PGY1 training at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, Massachusetts and worked briefly to build up a medication therapy management program in California. Her professional interests include clinical research, academia, medication therapy management, transitions of care, cardiology and critical care. A big food lover, she enjoys cooking, hiking, swimming, reading, playing piano and “shop ‘til you drop” activities in her spare time. Dr. Vu would like to thank all her family members who love her, never abandon her, support her and believe in her. She also likes to thank her friends, professors, directors, preceptors and mentors who gave her many valuable life lessons and career advices.
